Drift on the melodic sea

Of decidable coversation

As your painted soul

Is saturated with poetic words

Soaring to passion's desire

As the flames lick bliss

Covered in raspberry satin

As delicate mousse filled love

Screams in splendor

Of silken moments

That percolate on

Marshmallow clouds of comfort

That drip in strawberry fields

Of aromatic peace

That  sizzle with jalapeno heat

I like to try to use all the senses especially taste and touch in poems. I believe if you add color and some of the other senses in then it allows the reader to fully experience the sensations of the piece. I am glad you liked this poem. It is one of my more romantic ones.

A sensual blend of images... the sea, a painting, flames, fruit, silk and mouse...'Raspberry satin took me into a pleasing sensation...and the soft wetness and texture of the mouse was a relief for my own sizzling heat... Thank you

I have having one of my romantic moments here. Sitting at our kitchen table waiting for my man to come home for lunch. On Mondays and tuesdays I make him lunch for those are the days I am off work, and this idea come to mind.
