Satire Innocence

Satire Innocence

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

Satire drips from silver tongues
Screaming about tornadic ideas
Flooding the already saturated air

A hurricane of anger
Envelopes the candles flame
Taring apart
The rainbows hues

Scattering polka dots
Of delicate color
Splattering us with
Shattered innocence

A amazing poem. I love the use of words and description.

Sometime we turn to anger to find peace. No weakness in the outstanding poetry.

Quite a stirring and powerful little piece; I am amazed how much can be said by so few words. This was a tasty little slice of life. "Splattering us with shattered innocence." so much said in such a small space.

i like the use of weather events to describe feelings in this...

the tornadoes...yes, our state seems to invite them often, especially in central illinois where i gather you might be from...

we have them enough here in southern illinois...

innocence is always shattered too soon these days.

growing up comes way too fast...and yet adult act as children way too often...

Nothing robs a child of their innocence more then witnessing or being the victim of a violent crime. Very nicely done.

Very sad, but you have created a rich infusion and collage of thoughts with a relatively short poem

Powerful words those are.
This write is quite different from your other pieces that i read because of its dark theme. However, the way you painted rich imagery through your words is unwavering. beautiful write!
