Shifted Form

Shifted Form

A Poem by Poetic Beauty
"

To a dear friend who lost someone close to them a short while ago

"
The soul has energy
That rises from its shell
Soaring effortlessly
When this life has come
To an inevitable end

Drifting upon the wind
With a delicate flow
Whispering through the trees
Spreading and changing
As new-found freedom grows

Close your limited eyes
Feel the breath on your cheek
Sense the life flow
That carries upon the breeze

Life not depleted
But shifted into
A different freeing form
With an immortal start

One line here sheds illumination.
"Close your limited eyes."
If only our eyes could be open with knowledge of the heart, we may well realise that this plain is not all.
Still, not an easy battle to win when grieving, such things take time to reach such prespectives :)

This poem was one I wrote for a friend. I hope it comforted him.
The last stanza sealed this perfectly.. You put grace and ease inside the letting go of spirit from body.. This is your usual beauty and gift of words my friend..xo

A very positive and encouraging poem. There is always hope that life doesn't end but moves on. The energy that we are just doesn't go out like a blown out candle. Nicely done.

That is the idea I was trying to convey
i loved the last stanza..
they say a true poet knows how to end his work to leave the reader awestruck at the idea generated ..
and i say i find this true poet in this work ...
impressive :)

I think of death as a person's soul moving on to greater things and being free. Thank you
Like the Native American believe. We will become part of earth. Each of us are made from the elements of earth and one day become part of it. I like the way you explain the flow in your poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.
