Each night as I

Lay my head softly

Next to yours

I listen to the rise

And fall of your breath

Comforted in the feel

Of the heat your

Body generates

 

Your arm draped

Gently across

My midsection

Embracing me

Without knowledge

Giving me solace      

In the simple

Reaction to my

Presence

 

As you slumber

When I know that

You are sound asleep

I whisper softly

Three words             

That are felt

Deep within my being

 

Words that speak

And surge through

My content soul

The chords are strumming

Through my veins

Each night as you sleep

I think of you with love

Softly saying those words

With your name.

All these words are at the heart of my breath, the inner deepest part of my soul. When I am in love I feel it completely. I respect it and cherish it and I know a great guy from one that isn't and I respect and love the man for who he is completely.

The first stanza is amazing, body to body can give double heat, (not only sexual) but also when two people are frozen, it's the best way to survive. Loved that part...
In the second stanza, I loved the fact the lover slept, and without knowledge embraced his unconciousness. Amazingly worded, as you reacted as it gave presence, The third stanza dear one, oh loved it, you're like me, as I whisper my hubby nightly words, and he picks them up even when he was asleep... so beautiful to read.... (you're a very high sensitive soul too) I see.
It's pure trust, confident love in the last stanza, as it should be, this is marvelous, and an ode to all who don't have this bless, they will find soon. Exquisite piece.
