The silky shades

Of night are whispering

Calling out your name

Brushing my ears

With a decadent desire

To close the distance

On a once caged heart

 

Secret melodies springing

Forth a new life

Of strawberry moments

Spent under the mystical

Observant stars

As arms wrap around

My fast beating hear

 

Enriched with glorious

Contentment

The soars among

All knowing cosmos

Penetrating through

The onyx abyss

 

Surging spectacularly

With profound feeling

The sing with a choirs

Melody.

one thing that really stands out when I read your poetry (stands out in my mind) is that you weave in words like chocolate, strawberry (food) you weave food words into your poetry beautifully. and last stanza....."The sing with a choirs melody...???" depending on words...will determine meaning of last paragraph

I was a soldier and single for 15 years. I like those shady places and people. Can't be bore with people who celebrate the moment and don't worry about tomorrow. I enjoyed the poem. A strong ending to the outstanding poetry.
