Fear

Fear

A Poem by Callista Howard

Fear I need a word not one or two but several words
Today is my day, I choose not too listen to you
I choose to walk in my on shoes, today I wont loose
I will rise, I will stand and fight
I will hold unto my physical and spiritual rights
I will whisper now to you
I am worthy, I am strong, I belong
You have been wrong, I am not alone
I am not a failure nor am I a fiction
You are thee illusion
The voice that tries to damage my soul
To captivate my body, soul and mind
And place my mind into a deep dark whole
Fear not today or any other day, I choose not to obey
Today I am on my way acknowledging and recognising
I can choose not to obey.
