Connected Souls

 

Each thought I think is filled with thoughts of you

Each breath I breathe includes you.

Each desire I have envelopes you.

Our souls are joined together by a common bond

That leaves us forever connected.

Even when I don't want to feel you, I do.

I close my eyes and there you are.

You invade my thoughts, my dreams, my life

I can't escape you.

As time tic's away, I think of moments spent with you.

As I rewind and replay them in my mind over and over again.

I memorize your being.

Trace your lips with my lips

Embrace your soul and fly away with you.

I speak to you only to find you feel what I feel.

You feel me think of you

You feel me kiss you

You feel me embrace you

With just a thought you stole a glimpse into my soul

My soul I keep under wraps to never be touched or tapped.

To remain a resource I keep in selfish need.

Yet you've found the pathway to my soul and you touch me

even though you are miles away.

Denying me the simple pleasure of private thoughts of you.

You read my thoughts and love me for them.

As I toss and turn at night with thoughts of you playing through

my mind

You toss and turn as you feel me thinking of you

Only to fall off to sleep in exhaustion.

Melting into my pillow I can feel you melt with me.

As we slumber together in loves bliss ( Miles apart )

Yet closer than we've ever been.
