A through F

A through F

A Poem by poetic-raven2012

A through F

You grade me with letters,
but what if I don’t want to be
in your top six?
What if I want to be
the tagalong, the ‘Z?’
Your ‘Z.’
I won’t take an ‘A,’
and I won’t settle for an ‘F.’
Drop me all the way to ‘Z,’
where I can rest
my eyes in peace
without the loud perfection
of the ‘As,’ ‘Bs,’ ‘Cs,’ ‘Ds,’ those
up front, eager for your
attention.
Yes, I too want your attention
,
but to recieve it, I’ll not
hide myself behind the
‘A,’ ‘B,’ or ‘C.’
I could be your ‘Z,’
and you could love me for me.

Wow this was great. I loved how you wrote this and the way you used your words. It was striaght forward yet it had do much depth to it. Loved the last two lines. :D
