Humidity

Humidity

A Poem by poetic-raven2012

Humidity

You stick to me like
humidity too thick to tolerate.

Without the steady flow of following rain,
there is nothing to pry it off of me,
nothing to drench me and take it away.

Take me away?

You suffocate me like
the humidity with no rain to follow,
and I am so stuck together helpless
that you don’t even notice
I am trying to break free.

Let me go while I am still
just a heavy rain blanketed, and do not wait
until I am a thunderstorm
ready to strike,
ready to snap,
ready to not give up.
