Like a Book

 

With half shut eyes
I read you like
a book. Each
and every page is open;
you bare yourself for me
in the connotations
and depths of every scripted
letter and every painfully straight
line.
I read you like a book and
every page is open, yet somehow
it’s in your own language
that I have not yet
decoded.
