Where We Can Be Free

Where We Can Be Free

A Poem by poetic-raven2012

Take me to the quiet place
inside of your head
where we can be free.

I know you've never taken
anyone in there before,
but we can be free.

I've seen the colors before
in your deepest dreams,
when your mind is relaxed.

It's then that the ghosts
of shadows past disappear,
but you're so rarely relaxed.

In the waking world we are the ones
that comfort our minds out of holes,
and back to freedom.

I'll let you take and lead me blindly,
so you know I could never come back again,
but please -  share with me your freedom.

Author's Note

poetic-raven2012
This was a little thing-y about my best friends happy place that she goes to when she is scared. It visited me once, in a dream, and it felt so real, like it existed, and I would really like to go there once with her in the waking world.
I just realized how certifiable that sounded. Blah.
