The Penholder

The Penholder

A Poem by poetic-raven2012

I am the wind lifting your hair,
the smell of the ocean breeze,
the sunbeams on your back,
the sand beneath your feet.

I am the stifling air choking you,
the tears on your cheek,
the pain in your heart,
the fire in your soul.

I am a taste of true freedom,
the thoughts you want to act on,
the places you want to be,
those you want to be with.

I am the penholder.
I am the past.
I am the present.
I am the future.

Jeez, sometimes music makes me go into writers block, (Yes, crazy, I know.), and sometimes ^ this happens.

I love the metaphor used. This poem had great command of language as well as imagery. A true pleasure to read.

Nice write! I like the way you explained "The Penholder" as being the past the persent and the future.
