Peices

Peices

A Poem by poetic-raven2012

Staring in the mirroe-looking at the shadows,
I touch it, and how quick it shatters.
Broken peices-making up my heart,
Broken peices-coming from my heart,
Sharp edges cutting into my mind,
Jagged peices are all that's left of mine.
Falling from a place that love used to be,
Coming from a place that luxuriance loved to be.
Trying to mend but nothing is working.
Tired and distant like my mind is walking.
Feeling desolate and lonely...
Thinking to mend; would no longer be lonely.
Over being lost, so done being alone,
Picking up the peices, returning them home,
Entwined together, threads holding them together,
Bandages are on, wrapping the edges soft, something to hold them together.

Author's Note

I wrote this in the car on the way back from the beach. Not quite where it came from, or why it came out. (I was twelve when I wrote this.)
