Selections from 1000 haiku in 100 daysA Poem by Ryan "rat" TravisHere's some haiku, hope you like them.Writing and driving can be very dangerous haiku accident idiot left his blinker on going real slow old man behind wheel it’s times like this that I could really use a gun roadrage to the max If life was like a videogame, my car would have rocket launchers If the speed limit’s 65, then why can my car go 120 If they didn’t want people to speed, then why did they make cars so fast You’re so in a rush speed up so you can slow down getting nowhere fast ignorance is bliss stupidity a virtue but you’re an a*****e idiots, idi- ots, everywhere but not a gun to shoot them all On daily commute idiot drivers abound it scares ya shitless I’ve realized traffic can be good, it lets you read what you are writing why do bike riders insist they are like cars GET OUT OF MY WAY! Driving with headset mobile telemarketer that is really, smart Life is annoying one ways, speed bumps, road blocks, yield the road to no where dumb silly stupid idiots bumble around clueless co-workers customer service your orders not ready yet we lost your pictures Life at train station people bustle back n’ forth with someplace to go stream of commuters like salmon swimming up stream they’re working class shlubs we’re slaves to the green all powerful paper god bow to the money movers and shakers keeping up with the jones’s make a better deal the secret of life it’s not how good you’ve been it’s MONEY and SEX the way of the world lust, power, greed, avarice man, I love this place If you slow yourself others pass by like a blur time IS relevant joining men to sit on wall loser gallery asking for the time man grumbles he don’t have it I stare at his watch I really don’t hate people, it’s their ignorance and indifference inspirationless except how rude people are hate people like that This guy’s an a*****e just plops right down n’ spreads out like he owns the world must be a lawyer or something on that track a total d***o people are stupid they have these perceived notions live in a cocoon Junkies on corner trying to behave normal blatant abnormal 3 blatant junkies a tall one, a short one and one who’s just not there short one is jerky his actions quick and abrupt definite speed freak his actions, slow and flowing he’s chasing dragons the one who’s not there he sort of holds up the wall druggie enigma just 3 junkie men who prepare for their next fix as I walk on by OK, shows over there’s nothing left to see here now get the f**k out.
