In Articulo MortisA Poem by Ryan "rat" TravisMy oldest piece, not my best, but a classic non the less.
At lifes last breath
Requiem for the planet earth. Staring deaths bright angel in its somber grave face. The fetor of life stifling every mans breath. Deathbell tolls in a cacophonic earsplitting resonance That falls muted to each ear. Blinded and deaf are those that stumble through each day as if to hide from the truth. O my brothers, Wake from your opium dreams of myopic intellect. Awake to see yourself as the executioner preparing to impale the earth with your carnal desire. Submerging the world in a sea of blood to appease your lust for power. Behold, the panoramic view of this fouled planet. Comprehend, the fathom of your heinous acts. Atone, for your gluttonous self-indulgences. For the fate of the earth is in your hands and its glowing candle of life may soon blow out by the winds of Armageddon. © 2008 Ryan "rat" TravisReviews
