Feather in the Breeze

Feather in the Breeze

A Poem by Shelley Williams

A feather flutters

in the breeze,

The song of birds

fill nearby trees.

Nature dances

to its own tune.

The feather in flight

one afternoon.

Through the air

it floats with ease,

a sign of beauty

caught by a breeze.

That lonely feather

of the high lands.

curiously picked up

 by a child's hands.

He holds it high

then lets it go,

watches as it

goes with the flow.

The child plays,

the earth is kind,

lessons of nature

fill a curios mind.
