When Life Becomes Art

When Life Becomes Art

A Poem by Shelley Williams

Hidden deep in darkness

the feelings of my heart,

love dies among the shadows

lack of trust keeps us apart.

Silent whispers fearful

memories lost by thought,

emotional overflow kills

dangerous and never caught.

Drown the earth in sorrow

wind destroys, waters rise,

crumble walls of hope

tears fall from broken eyes.

Pride swallows innocence

hate stains love, truth is weak,

unforgiving tongue circulates

false words burn, evil speak.

Humble heart closer to light

spirit guides, truth be known,

life test difficult, faith to heal,

imagination, inner child alone.

Warm touch, an angel's love

protect with powerful glory,

open to peace from on high,

or naturally mislead by story.

(What does it mean?)
