Dear Solitude,

Dear Solitude,

A Poem by poetdweller

Dear Solitude,
Its nice to see you again!
Though it hasn’t been a while,
I’d thought I’d say hi
In a formal matter,
As it appears we’re going to become
Good friends.
Just me and you, right?
But,
You’re just the state of social isolation
Though that's okay...
We can take on the world,
One icy day at a time.
And until the frostbite gets too severe,
We’ll survive.
So until then,
I hope you and I
Have many good times together,
Sharing thoughts nobody else
Cares about.

Sincerely,
Poetdweller

Nicely done.

"Dear Solitude", what a nice conversation and one that I have had often. I think that there is an astral plane existing between two worlds, one called "solitude" and one called "being social" that has to be visited often to be able to jump between the two worlds effectively. The one called solitude has little streets which need to be discovered that branch out in different directions that provide warmth and comfort to keep it from being a cold and barren landscape. Sometimes now I like to steal time just to get back to solitude to find out what is new.
