ChangeA Poem by poetdwellerwhat happens to a person over time?... example: me
She smiled, looked around, with a shiny happy brightness to her eyes with one hand in her soft shiny blonde hair. She bit her lip and stared at her desk With dull, dark, emptiness to her eyes With on hand on her head as if without enough energy to hold itself up. She went home and talked With beloved family About her loving friends Who cared about her The other went home to her room Away from everybody Whats a friend? Nobody cared about her She smiled and went peacefully to sleep Into her pleasant dreams, Not stirring a bit And waking up in the morn. Once she finally cried herself to sleep, Her nightmares came to haunt And she tossed and turned And was exhausted the next morn. One dressed in bright neat clothes And combed through her hair While one dressed in dark colors Leaving her hair askew These two people are opposites, Yet amazingly they are the past and present of one girl. © 2008 poetdwellerReviews
