StuckA Poem by poetdwellerdepressed... once again
I yell and scream But the walls don’t hear In a sinking box, stuck One leak slowly letting in water I rode the waves of insanity and was okay Until you came I was a façade of stone Empty and free Until you opened the top And looked in Why? Why did you look? Your eyes held a strange emotion I thought it was a myth They held happiness and I just wanted it And I wanted out, to where it was And you tried to help But instead I crashed into the rocky shore just by So I just got to skim and see happy But then I drifted back here, Except it’s different The water’s leaking in. I need someone I don’t know who this person is I’m looking for each day I know I’m not finding them Because life still seems So grey and colorless The water’s getting higher I’ve been treading now for days But now I’m just hopeful that I’m going to drown Because without you I can’t swim © 2008 poetdwellerReviews
