He came Riding High
Into town about Noon On Downtown Dallas streets His Name was John He'd left his Gun at home Forgetting about any enemies After all, he was a Celebrity His Name was John All of a Sudden Shot's fired at his parade limo Jackie ducked and tried shoving him to safety But it was way too late The Bullet hit his handsome head It was the 'Shot heard round the world" America's Camelot lay in disarray His name was the late JFK. 2014 by Douglas Raymond Rose Member Academy of American Poets
