LIKE A (FOOLISH) VIRGINA Poem by poetdougThis is based on Matthew 25:10:"And while they went to buy, the Bridegroom came and those who were ready went in with him to the Wedding; and the door was shut. -----Afterward the other Virgins came "
Shut
The Door is shut It's much too late now No window of opportunity remains open ---All should have been done beforehand Foolish Foolish Virgins Locked out as the Wedding ceremony begins ---The door is now slammed shut. Tomorrow We will prepare tomorrow we shall do our duty But now "manana" has come ---And all is still left undone Our burning oil has gone out We are locked out by Life--- unprepared Late and left standing on the doorstep ---Like Foolish Virgins ----Knock---Knock---Knocking! 2013 by DRR
