I Loved a Stranger

I Loved a Stranger

A Poem by poetbunny
"

Some boys like to lie, a lot.

"

Give me a pen and
Give me some paper
Let me write all this down
So you can criticize me later.

Cursing every word I uttered just for a sponge-of-an ego.
Covering my eyes
So I won't have to remember their faces
And the places you so greedily explored.
Covering my ears
So I won't have to hear your excuses...
Covering my mouth
So I won't be the one who chooses.

Your breath on my skin,
And the touch of your hand-
You’ve made me empty within,
The best way you can.

Hold me just a little bit tighter,
Tell me you love me
For just a bit longer.
Lie about not lying,
And I'll believe you,
Just until I'm stronger-
Here I'll linger
Until I've found the TRUTH
Stranger...
