Taking A Leap

Having the courage to say what needs to be said.

Taking the plunge into treacherous waters,
Soaking up in my lungs-
Again I've faltered,
Choking on words too difficult to utter...
Taking deep breaths
Maybe to gather the courage to say what matters
And not be discouraged by what you're "not understanding,"
Hoping you'll see that I'm not demanding attention-
But merely trying not to cry
When I think of the alternative to this situation.
Holding back against my fears,
While you're just wiping away my tears...
Trying to make it better,
Without knowing why my cheeks get wetter by the second...
Would time be better spent
Not wasting my breath?
I've taken this leap,
Are you falling down after?
Or have I merely created,
A silent disaster?
