A Letter

A Letter

A Poem by Gin Tsubasa
"

It's a prose poem written after one hell of a long weekend...

"

I’m tired of receiving gorgeous words bought from thrift stores – for once in my life, I want real feelings to stand on to base… existing on. Because no matter what washed up phrases you whisper into my ear, I know I’m something under her – regardless if I could love you better. Regardless of what words leave your parted lips, you awake beside her – at night, you lay beside her.

I still come home to this blank bed, the one that begs for some sincere company.

So maybe someday I’ll be baby – but ‘til then I swallow your words like pills and tell myself I’m above love.

It was really good. Your word choice and imagery really lets the reader feel what you are feeling when you write this.
