Songs Unsung

 

 

 

Words flowing swiftly, sting
like daggers to the heart

and suddenly, I am no one-

wings unpinned,
wind whispers through my tresses
as I try to stop time

while we live within this smile.

Morning petals shadow peace
as dew drops wash away

songs better left unsung.

This is the kind of delicate alliteration (& other wordcrafting) that I prefer, even tho it's become vogue to do things to the extreme on this website! I can relate to this. I like to leave things unsaid. There's power with words. And although taking it all out may bring relief for a while, it may end up drowning our happiness instead.
