Petals Wilt, Then Bloom

Petals Wilt, Then Bloom

A Poem by poet2angels (lynda)

I. Petals~

Pieces

of my life
falling into place

petals, scattered
now gathered
blooming bouquet

memories lost,
then found
in feather, floating
folded between pages

lashes fluttering
new dawn

love's sweet rose blush.

~

II. Wilt~

Trust slipped

like slivers of sand
though my fingers

and suddenly I was small
worlds away
from my heart

parched desert wings
thirsting, surviving only

on dreams.

~

III. Then Bloom~

He doesn't see

the lines when I smile
and there's a sparkle
where the worry was.

I passed a reflection
and saw a girl

beaming blush;
a rose blossoming
in gentle hues

~ dancing ~

as shades of serenity
twinkled about her silhouette

I stepped back,
looked again
to my surprise

that starry-eyed girl
was me.

Ahh, it's been AWHILE since I've read some of your work! And it's just as refreshing as ever. I agree with Mary Ann, the way you describe the cycle is fantastic. From what I get out of it, you're describing the way all the feelings, emotions, and events that happen in life always seem to fall into place in the end. I think you're right about that. Great, great stuff.
