Quiet Skies

Quiet Skies

A Poem by poet2angels (lynda)

He shares his shimmer,
with clandestine constellations;

silhouettes
in perfect symmetry,
he waltzes with shadow;

quiet skies
his hidden sanctuary

humming a lullaby
to soften his dreams,
memories tucked gently
beneath a tattered pillow

as smile sleeps
under Angel's palm

his shelter, at sunrise.

inspired by:

"For The Man On The Yellow Bench" by Milda Dulhunty

"Can he unthread
those disenchanted dreams?

The man who is curled
on a yellow bench
under a palm in the park.

Shredding the sunlight
with his arms embracing his face
like a cocoon.

Can he be a butterfly
when he wakes in starlight?"

Hi, You don't know me. I'm pretty new in here. I like this piece. It made me go back and read a couple more of yours. I like them too. Unlike many...you can actually write. If you get the chance....check out something I've written. I play around with different poetry forms from centuries past sometimes. I don't have a whole lot posted here, but there's a few pieces....some not so good, others decent. Thanks for the listen......

How come I've missed this beautiful piece?! Wonderful imagery and poetic device, as always and very creative in complimenting the meaning of the poem which inspired this lovely piece.

Beautiful.......absolutely beautiful!
I love the imagery you projected, and it is a wonderful adaptation of "For The Man On The Yellow Bench".
This is a gift to be able to interpret as this!

This is definitely well-written. I could picture what was being said, which I think, by the way, is so cool. I usually can't do that.

good poem!
