Share a sip with me
to soothe my sadness

as seas sing in billowed breath

of thoughts of love that came and went;
dreams tarnished by the tinge
of one dark horse

haunting my footsteps, painting panic
upon my petaled path.

~

Tell me that he was wrong;

that I am worthy of the whisper
of this gentle spirit I have found.

Take me from this ledge...

Tell me that the pieces of my life
will fit together one day
when he heals this fragile heart
within his tender touch

and when the night is long
put another kettle on

because sometimes, I just need a friend.

Beautiful poetic skill adding more strength to the meaning in the comfort of a true friend. Well penned piece from a poetic mind.

Such subtle beauty grabs hold of my breath forcing a sigh each time I read this, lovely alliteration and language to describe the value of friendship, especially in times of need.
