Watching Butterflies Chasing Daisies~

Watching Butterflies Chasing Daisies~

A Poem by poet2angels (lynda)
"

on love, humanity and poetry

"

Poetry, like love
seeps into the skin
peeking into petals

when only a whisper will do.

Like breezes between tresses,
words wander

strumming strings of hearts
long thought turned to stone.

Yes, I do dare to awaken

flutters that lie
beneath faded smiles.

I traced his thoughts
as he watched a butterfly
chasing daisies

his unshaven face beaming,
eyes all aglow
beneath a golden sunrise
and it was then I realized

that we are never too old
for love

or poetry. ~

Yes this was beautiful

oh, oh, oh . . .

it's too early in the morning for poetry as fresh and vibrant and lovely as this. I only just started my second cup of coffee. I'm running late today. But that said, this is beautiful and hopeful. I felt like I could reach out and touch the picture you painted. I stopped just short of my fingers grazing his unshaven face, I was afraid the ripples of the memory might be disturbed by a touch.

Lovely!
