Could this get any better

Could this get any better

A Poem by Robert
"

a song that i wrote

"

I was sailing alone on the lazy river

I met me a girl and she called me mister

She was cuddled up in bed so I thought id kiss her

With a bliss and a kiss yeah I really found a miss

I think im gonna marry her someway

Yeah I’ve had just a really swell day

            Could it get any better?

            Will it get any better?

If I had to pick and choose id really never loose

The things I’ve learned and how they shape my ways

I could dream with the stars like the moon in sky

Walk over water to the blue fountains and cry

But my hurry will not fury ill just laugh and give a sigh

So let us all get real jobs so they will make us lie, lie, lie

Could this get any better?

Oh any better?

I’ve come all this way but I still can’t say

That my life has any meaning, the sun is in the west

Now I’ve been good to you please see me through

I’ll be in your left front pocket should you ever need a friend

You are my ever after you are my eternal light

I will be with you always, as day turns into night.

I like this poem and story. You took me on a good road trip in your words. The poem/song is of celebrating life and great hope. A very good ending to this excellent poem.
