Gratitude - Three BlessingsA Poem by PoemsbyPatrickThe practice of positive psychology and happiness research suggests observance every day of three blessings, the capturing of "what went well" that day.
Each and every day,
I promise to observe, The practice of three blessings, To capture in brief words. One is for the hands, A labor full of joy, To set the world in flight, With help from hands employed. One is for the head, My thoughts applied in full, To lighten burdens of the world, And lessen darkness' pull. One is for the heart, A warm and full embrace, To fill the world with love, And put joy unto your face. Three blessings every day, Three tasks of happiness, Three deeds of simple joy, To lead the heart to fullness.
