Promises MadeA Poem by PoemsbyPatrick
We have made promises,
That cause us to part, Not for long, But it tears at our hearts. We wish that we, Could stay in this place, And while away the hours, In long and sweet embrace. But promises made, Will be promises kept, Just remember I love you, Each night as we slept. This time will pass, We will come back together, And through love's embrace, Another storm will have been weathered. These challenges will test our love, No doubt it will be strengthened. But I pray the time we spend apart, Will shorten and not lengthen. Promises made, Will be fulfilled vows, Return to me my love, As soon as promises allow.
