Christmas Present

Christmas Present

A Poem by PoemsbyPatrick

A Christmas present awaits me,
My heart anticipates with glee.
The joy that it can bring,
Is far beyond imagining.

Hair of auburn hue,
And eyes electric blue,
Dressed in Christmas red and white,
My senses to delight.

Strong is my desire,
To hold my present near,
To tell her of my love,
As I whisper in her ear.

I'll shower her with kisses,
And hold her in my arms.
No need for mistletoe this day,
To coax loves little charms.

The best part of the present,
Is melding two as one,
Yet simple joys precede that,
Unwrapping is such fun.
