When the world beats and batters me,

I seek only to be with you.

Even just in your presence,

Our love shines bright and true.

When the world comes to crush my will,

I seek shelter in your arms.

The solace that I find there,

Goes well beyond your charms.

When the world seeks to lay me bare,

I seek the comfort of your smile.

The joy projected from your soul,

Gives respite for a while.

When the world rips my heart from me,

I seek the passion of your kiss.

The love connection that we feel,

Returns me to my bliss.

When the world verges on destroying me,

I seek the strength of your love.

The merging of our souls,

Is sent from heaven above.

Being with you,

In your arms,

Gazing into your smile,

I kiss you,

And feel the deepness of our love.

All is then right in the world.
