Facing Fear

When the world crashes down on you,

And all control is lost.

When panic strikes deep into your soul,

And hope seems distant.

You come face to face with your fear,

And life itself frays and shatters.

These times have come,

And they will come again.

Do not shrink from the fear.

Do not hide from the world.

Do not cower in life's shadows.

You are stronger than you know.

I believe in you,

What you are capable of being and becoming.

I believe in your goals, your desires, and, yes, your fears.

I believe that you will overcome your fears,

And be strengthened through your victory.

Borrow my strength if you need it.

Lean on my love when you feel weak.

Hold tight to my words of encouragement,

Don't let go.

For I will need your strength,

Have need to lean on your love,

When I reach out with all my might,

To catch your words of support,

In the times when I must hold you tight.

We are stronger together than alone.

Friends first, lovers always.
