Pillows on the BedA Poem by PoemsbyPatrick
The pillows lie on the bed in tangled disarray,
A poor substitute for the wonder of you. I held them through the night as I dreamed, Of your entrancing body and the sparkle of your smile. The world keeps me from you this day, With tasks to complete and places to be. I will heed it's beckon call, Serving the master of my way. When nighttime comes but once again, And sleep comes into view, I will take them in my arms, Wishing they were you.
