My FriendA Poem by PoemsbyPatrick
My friend, you seek to follow me,
Thinking I know they way, Out of this confusion, To the land of promised wealth. My friend, you hang on my every word, Seeking to gain the knowledge, Somehow hidden in my meaning, That will free you from your burden. My friend, do not elevate me to a pedestal, Worshiping my thoughts and deeds, I am but a man like you, Lost in the same confusion. My friend, I seek only to share with you, The knowledge that I have, And learn from you your own true thoughts, That we might find our way.
