Fly Among the CloudsA Poem by PoemsbyPatrick
Tethered to the ground,
Fly among the clouds, My soul does soar, When autumn winds abound. Earthbound though I am, My spirit seeks the sky, The simple joy of flying, Is held within my hand. The birds have no advantage, As I take to flight, The lightness of my soul, Soars upward with my kite. Flying far above the ground, My kite and spirit soar, Hours can slip calmly by, As peace is surely found. The stresses of the working world, All slip and melt away, As I fly among the clouds, On this autumn day.
