You Threw Me Under The Bus

You Threw Me Under The Bus

A Poem by PoemsbyPatrick
"

Sometimes our friends, meaning to or not, don't act much like friends. But we must forgive them their weaknesses.

"
You threw me under the bus,
And then proceeded to laugh at my pain.
Is that what a friend is for?

You set me up,
Then knocked me down.
And you wonder why I'm sore?

You see me as strong,
Much stronger than you.
So you gave me your crosses to bear.

I may be stronger,
Even stronger than you.
But that doesn't make it fair.

I don't seek revenge,
Apologies or changes.
A friend does not ask for such.

In the end,
I'm still your friend.
Just next time don't laugh quite as much.

Ah, found myself relating to this, based on experience and sometimes on a grander scale it seems. It appears that you are a very good and worthy friend. In the last fortnight on the news was the story of several friends who pushed one of their mates into the water onto the path of a shark.
