The World Claims Our Every Minute

The World Claims Our Every Minute

A Poem by PoemsbyPatrick

Panic now does grip our souls,
The day's work not being done.
Still so many things we need to do,
But all I can think of is being with you.

The world claims our every minute,
No time to think of love.
So many things that claim our time,
But I wish to be yours and you be mine.

A bargain we make with the world,
To settle up this unbalanced score.
We will give to it a full measure,
If I can but sample of your treasure.

The world will not keep the bargain,
Demanding more than we can give.
We will however cheat the rogue,
With deep kisses and true love.

Sometimes we need small victories to feel alive.
"We will however cheat the rogue,
With deep kisses and true love."
The above lines are true. Could to change the current and test life. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You know this is so well written, and love really can live in silence, though... I know.
The always longing for what you never have, is torturing, but the most romantic thing a human brain is addicted to.

Most brilliant write :)
