Little Words Upon The Screen

Little Words Upon The Screen

A Poem by PoemsbyPatrick

Little words upon the screen,
Tell me little sometimes.
Are you smiling, or are you not?
It is difficult to tell.

Little words upon the screen,
At times convey so much.
Happiness and joy,
Emotions wain and swell.

Little words upon the screen,
No substitute for touch.
To look into your eyes,
And in your arms I'd fell.

Little words upon the screen,
For when I can't be there.
Speak code of secret words,
To tell me you are well.

I would so much rather hold you tight,
And kiss you deeply through the night.
Look into your very being,
And need no little words upon the screen.

What a fun, light poem! Little words can be a comfort when alone, but there is something about face to face that is so much better.
