The long distance relationship

This poem puts word on the feelings of meeting the love of your life. The love of your life who's far, far away.

Sweet,

that's what I'm gonna think when we meet,

across the street,

when our eyes lock,

my heart will say, knock knock.

When I was broken,

he made me tell what's unspoken. 

When I was sad,

he made me smile,

even though I felt so bad.

When a tear dropped,

he tore it up,

and then the whole world stopped.

When I'm starting to remember,

he reminds me to be the defender,

and when I'm losing my soul,

he reminds me to control,

and for every day,

he's the one keeping me whole.
