Waiting For The Great Leap EastwardsA Poem by £15 + A S**t BJDece-o
Sit down on a sandy shore,
Where the wind blows, whether wind blows, Some solitude at the seaside, Where the sea flows, whether tears flow, Take me there, I'll catch the train, Walk for miles in the wind and rain, Take me there, I don't care how, How I wish I could be there now, And when it's dark I'll light a few candles, Let them fight with the night, as I kiss the ocean air, A sad story and sand in my sandals, Lose myself in the lighthouse light's bright stare, I need some calm at the coast, Where the land ends, whether I'll mend myself, A holiday from my hectic home, So take me down to a coastal town tonight, A long walk off a short pier, I don't mind, it seems pretty fine to me, Have a long talk and a beer, With myself, no-one here but me, And when it's dark I'll light a few candles, Let them fight with the night, as I kiss the ocean air, A sad story and sand in my sandals, Lose myself in the lighthouse light's bright stare, I need some rest on the bank I know best, And get some respite, from the sight of the sea, Taste salt-water, think of all I taught her, And let my love stir, as I watch the horizon blur, Feel peace and quiet and watch the waves riot, Contemplate and consider, prepare for what path I take, All the hassle of building sandcastles, My faith is lost as I watch them get washed away, And when it's dark I'll light a few candles, Let them fight with the night, as I kiss the ocean air, A sad story and sand in my sandals, Lose myself in the lighthouse light's bright stare, I lost myself in the lighthouse light's white glare... © 2012 £15 + A S**t BJAuthor's Note
