Early RiserA Poem by MPetersPoems&shortstoriesa guy looks out his window and recalls memories and placesEarly
riser Dawn
has opened the skies Warmth
from the sun rays Stretches
to your window Dew
lingers at the far meadows Early
riser Getup
and peer through your curtain At
the sparkling morning It
is morning Your
window sill plant Has
grown an inch taller And
a little more greener Lift
its soil a little With
a small fork See
how its leaves change Color
with the rising sun Beyoond
your window Is
what day has brought Green
shiny grass Rising
morning mist A
side walk that is Wet
from the frost A
neighbor is at his garden Planting
fruits Another
is at his Front
yard clipping her roses Perhaps
you will get down to mow your lawn before dawn
closes A
thought does come to mind Of
a memorable dawn As
such When
you lived in Another
part of the country A
same dawn, a same sun A
good teen you were Say
hello to old man Charibo with his ox With
a wave Stand
by the same window And
watch sara tend to the hens It
was dusty then Sara
in the We
used to say with the guys A
long time since But
that farm, Sarah farm with cows grazing We
boys using fathers tractor in a peasant morning A
flower by my window A
present from Sarah Last
I left peasant land last summer A
bus stops by Stays
for a while Mine
is soon to come To
pick me from home Get
ready early riser Work
is beyond that hill And
meadow The
bud has come at last It
likes my flowering plant I
cannot forget Good
nature always with me Mixing
hay for the cows Till
afternoon works end I
wipe sweat from brow The
morning cold fades away frommy face Where
the sun touches A
pleasure to stay a while longer And
watch my neighbours With
nature And
watch the far outside, beyond my flowering plant. (sometimes
one does think of himself as you, which i used in this poem, it flows very
smoothly and makes it all real)
