Grass and soil & the age of plantsA Poem by MPetersPoems&shortstoriesthese are two poems i did in my teens, so theyre meant for a young audience its all about nature in the past and present and how we appreciate it, enjoy, find me here at peter munyuka as wellPoem of nature Grass and soil Has it ever moved Has it ever wanted to move Yet it stares at the same sky above All day and all night With rest not might Always as it was Oh if life was as constant Reluctant of change It does not show it when it is growing Nor when it is dying Even sowing With its seed, soil planting The soil holds this seed It too is happy to be the same hills The same shape and contours Has it been the one that tought you How to remain still Be cakm and still Be all so real on this buz buz world Watch it move in your timeless space. Wild, untouched That is un taught Only allowed by circumstance Grass and soil remain Partners in their quest to observe and be Just to be That is all one asks of the untouched Hill with grass Beautiful to locals and tourists Many pass them by unknowing About their business About their worries and opportunities Zoom!zoom! I can hear you hum Buzz buzz walk walk , talk talk They will pass grass hill and soil It has one thing to touch though It embraces with constant gaze life’s Flows Rely on grass hill in difficult times When distant heart ache or economy hurt Pain our lives and souls Be constant do not change in weather Like us Adapt , be again patient Speak to that client Already my soul is refreshed, My mind does not gaze in thought of problems It follows the constant Patient lane One that is assuring to all One that saves from always worrying A mercy at last foundone can see their Destiny open, bright, Another chance In a moments glance Thanks to constant grass hill Nature, little toil Only grass and soil.
poem 4 THE AGE OF PLANTS It is known That there is an earth With plants growing Through the first Morning and sunshine birth Ages have past Forever its green lasts First be grass In all earth mass From here and yonder All grass has grown Dry soil , no no longer It sprouts tall, early grass does Tough and ancient As ancient as the dinosaurs that feed in it It sustains animals Its sustains natures Ecology and atmosphere composition With time it releases offsprings For the birds with flying large wings Tall trees, as tall as todays mountains It grows creepers Through valleys and falls , earths Natural fountains The earth has grass nature and is covered by grass Nature Thousands of years as the earth sings of these ancient Plants With large stems, big leaves With attractive flowers luring unknowing creatures To trap in its petals Alas the volcanoes erapt Change is near Wait till the smoke and dust settles Travel through time and evolve Creatures and animals Shall pass away Dinosaurs are no more The grass seeds shall lay dormant Keeping their wait worthwhile Thousands of years maybe hundreds Time is boundless It is a matter of becoming one with earth Then at a season of good chance The dormant offspring sprouts Glowing , blooming Speaking to the earth It is time It is time Let the earth be green and seen With green nature For a better brighter future It grows wild now , with flowers, new shoots new roots It feeds on different nutrients It has evolved Never dying Endless with time Then the dinausaors, shells and the plants shall be burried deep In the soil And the organisms of water shall birth new animals, smaller, intelligent, to feed on the new plants that The earth has provided for them The plants renew the earth They feed the animals like a mother with milk Vegetation, protects this ecology A life cycle Always supported by the green plants © 2013 MPetersPoems&shortstoriesAuthor's Note
