Ode to LaughterA Poem by Pam NyburgI wrote this as a teenager, but it still makes me giggle.
A spark of laughter, a titter, a giggle, and it begins.
You start to laugh, for the joke within.
It picks up speed, and then you snort.
You laugh again, making fun of a sort.
Then a hiccup, to make it worse.
You laugh all the louder, guffawing like a horse.
You just can’t stop, your out of control.
You laugh so hard, your gut takes the toll. © 2012 Pam NyburgReviews
