That Moment

I was hyped with all the emotions and the fact that I will never see him again and then the output is this. hope you like it :)

It was that moment again when all I can do is to stare

You were so close, but then I never did dare

To take another step or even just say hello

Knowing this is the last chance, yet I let it again go.

 

People around us are hyped with what’s going on

But I’m just standing there choosing to be forlorn

Feeling sorry for myself because I never had the guts

For whenever there’s a chance, I am stopped by the word “but”.

 

There’s nothing I can do but to watch you from a distance

Because I’m not brave enough to take all the chance

I guess I’m already contented to see you for a while

And have a glimpse of the way you smile.

 

It was that moment again when all I can do is to stare

And then again you weren’t aware that I was there

Just like the countless times I watched you walk pass me

Only this time that moment never made me happy.

Your phrasing of words is very simple, making the poem easy to understand. I liked the way you play with words as they rhyme, plus the over all structure is fairly good. A wonderful poem definitely most people, I myself, can relate to. Thanks for sharing!
