Soglied 22

Soglied 22

A Chapter by RomeroNYC

Empty on a windy road
A loadstone moon rises wounded
Like a levy corpse tossed violently
Toward a rook-smooth undertow.

A road of winding, dipping ups and downs
Windy yes’s amid wind-swept bones
A crow-black ghost goes endlessly
Comes nearer even as he goes

Goes further though not gone right here
Yet closer than my own damn ghost
Close comes though gone and  then he goes
Nearer even as he ghosts,

Just like some Christ-damned enemy
An enemy of my not too close
Friendly host to my full-fears
Drifts here and here in my dear home

Of heart and fire and full-bright soul
Ghost of ghost of my becoming
In the going of my arriving, coming through
Christ-shook shade of my abiding

Running through uncaught unchanged
In the shadow of a shade, full-sexed unraged
Under waves and smooth-tide bones
I drift my ghost my mirroring

My stone smooth runic enemy
Through marrow currents of swift shucked bones
Split in the night of the mare-cracked lode
Ghostly me my own damned ghost,

Quick-go into the soul of the undertow, right there
Sneak in through the window under eye and over stare
Dave Jones, ungazed, unsouled, we
Me and my own sad ghost

Grow fullmoon bright in the light shone cold
In clearness of our haunting glow in guesting swift
Quick in the haunting slow of his drift-bonestiff
Christ-like white skull.

Emptysouled in the crucifixion of his gaze
As it slowdrift floats graceful as a sunken boat through the grave
Of the souls of the deadmen drowned, unflumed unbound
Unsaved,  unprayed, ungod unfound, but sprouting up

Like tulips of skulls like flowers of ghosts
Gathered in the waveward gardens hid neat
Within the graveward silence of an ease of death
In the depths of the bone-drift harmony

Amid the peace and violence of bones unbroke
Within the sliver of a moon of a shadow hid full
Within the shattered glass-spark of a skullshaped heart now broke
In the shadow of the grave of the grey-souled flow

Of the grey-eyed, gravetide undertow.
Sleeps smooth in peace of soul full-mooned,
Unghost, unlost, unquite a care,  alive in the light of a bright beware.
