A Tainted Past

A Tainted Past

A Poem by chloe cruz
"

For you, the one who knew how to abuse me, and how in the end, to come out on "top".

"

Hold my hand,

take me through

memories we’ve

ensued.

There we’ll find

a timeless space.

Only we have touched

this place.

Show me gardens

in which petals bloom,

do harm with the thorns

they’ve become accustomed to.

For when you see me,

bloodied and scarred,

will you have broken me

into your arms?

Or will I have followed you

into darker forests

where nightmares prey

and all those who enter

are heavily haunted?

But, when you end

your time with torture,

turn to face me,

look me over.

Allow your fire to engulf me.

Whisper I love you

to the ending.

I wish I would have clashed those emotions even more with nature, any suggestions for as to how I should go about that? c:

You've included Earth and Fire, if you want more clashes with nature then try to cover all the elements maybe? Water and Wind? If you can somehow mold those into the poem then that could be the clash you were looking for. But I very much enjoyed this :)

I don't have any suggestions because I think this poem is great the way it is. I really enjoyed reading it!
